So the humans left me for two days . . . and came back with a new addition to the house. I was at first reluctant to accept the change, but me and the new block have a lot in common. Let us just say that we share common interests. For example, I like to mainly spend my days eating and napping, and new block likes to do the same. We stay out of each others way; and I occasionally let her use my room. She seems to be unaware of my presence, and that is the way I like it. Here are some pics of the new kid, definitely not as cute as me! Honestly, look at that hair!

goldi-shumai
As taking a daily inventory of everything that goes on in my territory of the neighborhood requires much focus, and attention to detail, I was in search of finding a suitable resting place. The down comforter was alas just too soft, and compelled me to groom. The bathroom sink, though almost perfect for my body type, was just a tad bit too hard (can we say lower back pain after no less than 5 minutes?!). But finally, I found it, the perfect resting spot. . . in my new room! It is just right, the perfect size, shape, firmness, and even the color compliments my highlights.

Embarassing Situation
Today began like many others, I awoke to find the humanoids still asleep. I jumped on them, stared at them, and still they did not get the message. I reluctantly made my way to the potty and upon my return noticed the short hair was in the shower. A perfect opportunity to play hide and seek! Unfortunately a piece of poop was still latched onto my fur, and as I was running around the bathroom looking for a perfect hiding place, it dislodged itself from me and found its way to the floor. I knew that this would only lead to trouble, but what can I do, I am a cat. It is not my duty to clean. I sleep, I eat, I play, I ponder the mysteries of the universe, philosophize, and blog. The long hair walked in and stepped on my poo. Hilarious. She didn't even notice at first, until the short hair made a comment. He had seen the poo, but decided against cleaning it until later. This lead to an impromptu bath, something which I earnestly detest. Lesson learned: in future be more stealthy in placing poo.

My New Room

Cat Date: 610
I have been living in this fortress for 610 days. Some days go by faster than others. Today's goal was to count the number of humanoids that walk past my domain. I fear that there is an increasing amount of dogs in the neighborhood. What is happening? Everything started going downhill since the lilac festival a few weeks ago. I have steadily tracked an increased amount of foot traffic outside.
Something is wrong with the humanoids as well. They are becoming obsessed with this word, "baby". The one long haired human is getting bigger everyday, I fear she is unable to control her dietary intake, and tries to compensate for this by trying to control mine.
Today I let them leave the house, as I too need some alone time. They claimed to be attending the Siena wedding. If it keeps them entertained, and out of my space, I am happy to concede to the trip. In the mean time I spent the day decorating the furniture and carpets with some of my luxurious fur. I hope that this effort was not yet again done in vain, as the long hair seems to be obsessed with removing my works of art. . .

HIghland Park Festival
April showers bring May flowers. Due to my allergies, I decided to send the humans out to scout out the flowers. These are the images they reported back to me.
